Choosing the right size
How do I choose a life jacket size?
Use the size guide on the Dog Life Jacket product page and measure your dog before ordering. The jacket should feel secure without restricting the front legs or breathing. If your dog is between sizes, contact us at business@houndofficial.com.au with their measurements and we’ll help you choose.
How should a dog life jacket fit?
A correctly fitted life jacket should sit snugly around the neck and chest, allow natural front-leg movement and stay stable when the dog swims. Check every strap before use and test the jacket in shallow, calm water first. HOUND life jackets are buoyancy aids and do not replace active supervision.
What size is the Adventure Sleeping Bag?
Check the current dimensions on the Adventure Sleeping Bag product page and compare them with the space your dog usually occupies when curled up or stretched out. It can also unzip and lay flat as a blanket, making it useful in tents, caravans and at competition events.
What size and weight can the Camp Cot support?
The Portable Raised Dog Camp Cot measures approximately 100 × 65 cm, weighs around 2 kg and is rated to support up to 80 kg. Consider your dog’s body length and preferred sleeping position as well as their weight.
Which travel bowl should I choose?
Choose based on your dog’s size, how long you will be away and whether you need food, water or both. Medium suits compact day trips, Large provides more capacity, and the Duo is useful when you want a two-bowl setup.
Orders, kits and delivery
Are HOUND Kits already discounted?
Yes. HOUND Kits bundle complementary products at a better combined price. Because the saving is already built in, kits are excluded from additional discount codes unless a promotion specifically says otherwise.
Do you offer free shipping?
Free Australian shipping is available on orders over $150. Orders below the threshold are charged shipping at checkout. See our Shipping page for current dispatch and delivery information.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, international shipping is available to selected destinations. Delivery times vary and any destination-country duties, taxes or import fees are the customer’s responsibility.
How quickly are orders sent?
Orders are normally processed within 1–2 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Tracking is emailed once your parcel has shipped.
Can I exchange an item if the size is wrong?
Exchanges are available for sizing issues, subject to stock availability. Items must be unused, in original condition and returned in accordance with our Returns & Exchanges policy. Contact us before sending anything back.
Product use and care
Is HOUND gear field tested?
HOUND works with active dog owners, outdoor operators and sporting-dog facilities to assess fit, movement, handling and practical performance in real conditions. Learn more on our Field Tested page.
How should I care for HOUND gear?
Follow the instructions on the relevant product page. As a general guide, use cold water and a gentle wash where machine washing is permitted, avoid harsh detergents and allow gear to air dry. Do not tumble dry insulated products.
